CONCEPT APPROACH
Activation of the city and urban spaces
Creating experiences, emotions and meeting spaces – through dialog and participation
Cities and urban spaces thrive on people who actively participate in city life. But how do you reconcile the various interests and stakeholder groups – with each other and with the overall urban dramaturgy?
Every room has its own potential. Recognizing and activating this potential is Goal and challenge at the same time. The focus is on the DNA of the location, from which the appropriate possibilities must be derived in order to stage it. – In other words: create an emotional connection with experiences and facilitate encounters.
Or to put it another way: If people feel comfortable in a place, enjoy spending time there, like living and working there, then they stay longer and consume more. This promotes people’s identification with the space – and creates vitality.
Activating spaces and the city as a stage is by no means just about events: it can be murals that give an area a different feel or extended outdoor catering uses that allow a space to be perceived differently. It can be the type of lighting, the quality of stay with the help of street furniture or even play and leisure facilities that turn places into experience spaces.

The task
Activating stakeholders, juggling interests – staging the city
Cities and spaces are made for people. That is why, when developing urban spaces, we always start from the “Users:inside” from. Our The aim is to inspire them to actively shape their city.
These included residents in their demographic and socio-economic diversity on the one hand, and the people and groups who regularly participate in the economic, political and cultural life of the city or region on the other.
In order to involve them in dialog and discourse – and, above all, to really achieve further development – the right actors must be identified, stakeholders must be skillfully managed and participation processes must be cleverly and purposefully designed.
Our approach
Developing vibrant spaces – activating existing spaces
We help you to integrate public urban spaces into supra-local functional and spatial contexts and to exploit the potential of a diverse use of space. – For vibrant and attractive cities and urban spaces of the future.
